Mathieu obtained his law degree from the University of Lausanne in 2003. He is currently writing a doctoral thesis on corporate governance in groups of companies. His work experience includes a position as a scholar at the Center for Business Law of Lausanne University (CEDIDAC).
Mathieu is the author of several legal publications, mainly on company law. Mathieu is a member of the Swiss Society of Jurists and of the Geneva Association for Business Law (agda).
Mathieu is actively involved in politics. He is currently President of LausannEnsemble (a union of three different parties) and Vice-President of the Lausanne Liberal Party.
His working languages are French, English and German.
