Céline Courbat joined our firm as an associate in 2007. Céline is actively involved in the firm's commercial litigation and corporate practices. Her main areas of work are commercial law, contract law and litigation.
Céline obtained her law degree from the University of Lausanne in 2001, having spent two years of her studies at the University of St. Gallen. In addition, she earned an LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002. She was admitted to the New York bar in 2002 and to the Vaud bar in 2007. From 2002 to 2004 she worked in New York City as an associate for a major U.S. litigation law firm.
Céline also acts as vice-president of the Vaud labour court, in Lausanne, which has jurisdiction over claims from Vaud state employees against their employer (Tribunal de prud’hommes de l'Administration cantonale - TRIPAC).
Céline speaks French, English, Spanish and German.
Céline is a member of the Vaud Bar Association, the Vaud Young Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association (ABA) and the New York State Bar Association.
