Philippe Pulfer joined our firm in 1996 and became a partner in 2005, after a three-year period in our London office.
Philippe specialises in private client work, estate and tax planning with an international focus. He is a frequent adviser to families, banks and lawyers in other jurisdictions, in particular UK solicitors. Philippe is also experienced in private banking matters and related litigation, in particular international judicial assistance. His other areas of specialisation include commercial fraud issues and asset tracing. Philippe is involved in art law; he sits on the board of philanthropic organisations focusing on art and architecture.
Philippe graduated from the University of Geneva in 1992 and was admitted to the bar in 1995. He trained for a time at the Geneva Court of Appeal and worked as a foreign associate with a major Chicago law firm. He speaks French and English.
Philippe is a member of the following professional associations: Geneva Bar Association, Swiss Bar Association, International Bar Association (IBA), Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats (AIJA) and Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). He is a committee member and the Education Secretary of STEP Suisse Romande and a member of the Education Committee of STEP Worldwide. He is a regular speaker and contributor on the practice of trusts in Switzerland and on art law.
