Jean Marguerat
Jean Marguerat joined our Geneva office as an associate in 2003.

Jean's principal areas of practice include international commercial arbitration and litigation, international judicial assistance, debt collection and bankruptcy proceedings, contract and corporate law.

Jean was educated at the Universities of Basel and Neuchâtel (lic.iur. 1996) and, after being admitted to the bar in Bern (1999), at the University of Cambridge (LL.M. 2000 – British Chevening Scholar). He then worked for two years in Barcelona as a foreign associate with a Spanish commercial law firm. Jean is one of the authors of the first commentary on the Swiss Rules of International Arbitration (2005). His working languages are French, English, Spanish and German.

Jean is a member of the following professional associations: Geneva Bar Association, Swiss Bar Association, Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA, ASA below 40), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA, YIAG), Club Español de Arbitraje (CEA, CEA -40).
