Nicola Benz joined our firm as an associate in 2002 and was admitted to the Zurich bar in 2005 as the first foreign lawyer to re-qualify in Swiss law under art. 30(1)(b) par. 1 of the Free Movement of Lawyers Act.
Nicola’s practice focuses on technology transactions - IT-outsourcing, technology licensing, technology joint ventures and collaborations and associated intellectual property issues. She has considerable experience, both as an external counsel and through secondments in-house, assisting technology companies of all sizes, from start-ups to established players. Nicola also advises on all types of commercial contracts and on competition and EC law.
Nicola obtained her law degree from the University of Edinburgh (LL.B. Hons) in 1997. Her working languages are English and German.
Nicola is a member of the following professional associations: Zurich Bar Association, International Trademark Association (INTA), Licensing Executives Society (LES), Law Society of Scotland.
