Dr. Beat M. Barthold
Beat M. Barthold has been a partner in our Zurich office since 2001.
Beat specialises in public and private M&A transactions and banking/finance as well as corporate finance transactions (including complex private equity and debt finance transactions, acquisition finance, syndicated loans, private/public offerings, mezzanine and structured finance, LBO, MBO, MBI, mergers, demergers, joint ventures). Other areas include hybrid financial instruments (mezzanine), corporate and contract law and capital market transactions. He has published numerous articles in this field and is a sought-after speaker and panellist on these subjects at national and international conferences.
Beat obtained his law degree from the University of Basle in 1988 and his PhD in 1996. He is also a Swiss Stock Exchange authorised representative. His working languages are German and English.
Beat is a member of the following professional associations: Zurich Bar Association, Swiss Bar Association, International Bar Association (IBA), Bankruptcy Law Association (SchKG-Vereinigung).
