Start-up Stories Night – the Corona (LexCast) Edition

Although we are not able to invite you to join us in person and to have a drink or a chat with us on our roof-top terrace, we want to ensure that you can at least take away stories and insights from the start-up world. In particular, we will focus on:

• Stock option plans – evergreens for start-ups
• Internationalisation – a contractual challenge
• Employee or service provider – walking a thin line when contracting people in an international context

Tune in for the exclusive opportunity to pre-listen to our Start-up Stories Night LexCast on 24 March 2021, when we will share our experiences and take-aways from consulting for and with start-ups. If you cannot make it do not worry; we will also release the LexCast through our usual channels, just a bit later.

Not only will you have the chance to hear from experienced lawyers in tech and corporate law, you will also benefit from insights from the entrepreneurs’ side, as this time the start-up stories will be told by Dr Jürgen Galler, co-founder and CEO of 1plusX AG.

Dr Jürgen Galler, Storyteller, is the CEO and a co-founder of 1plusx AG, a data management and predictive marketing platform that creates anonymous user and object profiles with an innovative and holistic approach. By combining information from all channels and touchpoints, the software developed by 1plusX recognises behavioural patterns that allow for real-time predictions for the use of content and the display of advertising. With these predictions, publishers, broadcasters and marketers can optimise their offerings. Prior to starting 1plusX AG Jürgen has gained valuable experience in the digital sector, in particular through his roles with Bertelsmann, Google, YouTube and Swisscom.

Marco Fusi, Speaker, is an associate in the corporate team of Meyerlustenberger Lachenal. He regularly advises clients in general corporate and commercial matters, corporate governance, M&A and finance transactions. He further specialises in restructuring and succession planning for SME and advises start-up companies.

Evelien Zemp, Speaker, focuses on corporate and commercial law. She also works as a civil law notary and in employment law. Besides she is a member of our AI Focus Area Group. Evelien joined FRORIEP in 2013 as an associate. Prior to joining FRORIEP, she worked for several years with an international audit and advisory firm in Zurich in the fields of corporate and commercial law, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Cornelia Mattig, Speaker, joined FRORIEP as an associate in 2018 and focuses on start-ups, data protection and intellectual property law, as well as corporate and commercial law issues. Cornelia has in-depth knowledge of legal matters relating to AI and is also a member of our AI Focus Area Group.
